About Me
Hi, I’m Chas—a lifestyle and custom home photographer based in Sugar Land, Texas, and serving the Greater Houston area. While this region is home, my curiosity for the world extends far beyond its borders. Whether your story unfolds across the state or across the globe, I’m drawn to the opportunity to capture it. If you’re considering a session but live far from Texas, don’t let that stop you. I just might find my way to you.

Photography, for me, is both an art and a responsibility. It’s the act of preserving something ephemeral, a fragment of time that might otherwise dissolve into memory. My goal isn’t just to document but to interpret—to reflect the essence of a moment with honesty and depth. There’s something profoundly meaningful about this work, and I approach it with both reverence and intention.

Our time together won’t be about orchestrating perfection but about discovering authenticity. The best images emerge when you let go of expectations and simply allow yourself to be. Every individual, every story, is unique, and it’s my privilege to reveal that individuality through my lens. So share your story, your quirks, your truths. I’m here to listen, observe, and translate that into something lasting.

What fascinates me most about photography is its ability to hold still what is dynamic: a laugh, a fleeting glance, the way light plays through a window or how an unexpected moment unfolds. These details carry weight; they tell stories that words cannot. My role is to see what might otherwise go unnoticed and to frame it with intention and care.

When I’m not behind the camera, life is full and vibrant. I’m a mother to four incredible children making for a lively household. Living in Sugar Land offers a kind of richness—a tapestry of woods, beaches, waterfalls, and even mountains, all within reach. As a family, we find joy in hiking, road trips, and time with close friends. I’m also a high school English teacher, where I have the privilege of engaging with literature, critical thinking, the exploration of ideas, and fostering meaningful connections with my students. When it’s just me, I often retreat into nature, immerse myself in a book (usually audio), or write while dreaming up my next trip abroad.

Aaron Siskind said it best: "Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything." Let’s create something meaningful together.
